Who we are
Education is fundamental to human progress. It plays a prominent role in all-around development of individual as well as society. Without education we are incomplete.
Every child must go to school in his/her appropriate age as everyone has equal rights for education from birth. We, SHINE Education and Welfare Society, provide financial, moral support to poor children and encourage them to gain knowledge by handling over textbooks, stationaries, magzines, refreshments to attract them, etc.
What We Think
Our prime focus is on providing proactive education at minimal cost. We focus on rural areas mostly but will expand for low-income urban families for sure. Also, we have versatile objectives of providing incentives during calamities like extreme winter, flood etc. We also spread awareness about health as and when necessary.
We focus on fruitful and regular team meetings. Here we modify our agendas and add some more strategies as the time comes. Since there is acute shortage of funds with changing times, we abide by maintaining emergency fund and use it wisely. We promote through social media as to reach maximum adults, teens, and seniors.
Our one and only prime target is to eliminating absolute illiteracy. Thus, we choose rural areas to start with. Our secondary goals remain providing relief according to our capacity and gathering government help through our reach. We believe in building an exchange tunnel from the donors to the beneficiaries, so no abundance gives just an ordinary return.
Volunteers are the most important part of this battle of humanity. They are an army which can make or break any organization. Become a volunteer at Shine NGO by doing any kind of social service in your immediate surrounding. Teach or Fight Social-Evils but stay in the army. We need more people like you.
What We Do
Education hut is a place where bare necessities are available for education. At education Huts, we run school (class 1-3) and teach tuition for classes beyond it. For this we hire teachers and provide basic facilities at zero cost. There are no tuition fees, and the teachers are paid for their services by our NGO. In this we are also helped by parents who adopt a kid from Education Huts. Such parents pay for their kid's education fees (₹1500/ year/ kid), thus reducing our financial burden and maintaining quality education.

Health being the most neglected sector of the society, is becoming the need of the hour. We try to spread awareness about it with the help of medical camps, sanitary pad distribution, dental checkups etc. This is to bring an inclusive nature for the healthcare, so it accommodates more people. We also collect funds for the medical treatment requests from our area within our capacity. Till now we have successfully helped 2 hand plasters of widow women, 1 backbone injury and 1 Pelvic bone surgery.

Our base being in Gorakhpur (East Uttar Pradesh) falls in Zone 4 of the earthquake scale. Also, it is a Tarai region hence has seen frequent floods. Such calamities really need a large working force and hence we equip ourselves to provide our volunteers as and when the need arises. We also collect funds for the medical treatment requests from our area within our capacity. Till now we have successfully helped 2 hand plasters of widow women, 1 backbone injury and 1 Pelvis bone surgery.
